Lake Wakatipu Queenstown

#newzealandtrip This lake is located right next to Queenstown and it is just stunning. The lake is surrounded by majestic mountains and the waters are crystal clear. The views are breathtaking. We spent the morning walking around the lake and it was a great way to start the day. Aside from the beautiful views, there are lots of recreational activities catering to all interests. There are hiking and biking trails, to boating, fishing and jet skiing. There is plenty of paid parking available or you can park for free at the Queenstown Skate Park and take a 10 minutes stroll here. Lake Wakatipu is an absolute must go when visiting New Zealand’s South Island. Be sure to check it out.
