Zhuge Village Prime Minister's Temple in Lanxi, Zhejiang

The Zhuge Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall is located in the northeast of Zhuge Village, Zhuge Administrative Village, Zhuge Town, Lanxi City. It is a "U"-shaped structure with two gatehouses and a side house. It faces south and north, covers an area of ​​1,620.60 square meters, and was built from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China period. There are gatehouses on both sides of the entrance hall of Prime Minister Zhuge's Temple. They are one-bay and have through-beam beams. The eaves columns of the foyer are 5.2 meters high. The three middle rooms are the main entrance. There are plank doors between the golden columns. There are drum stones on the outside of the four doors of the main room. The five-beam frame has grass beams in front and double steps in the back. There is a flat chessboard and the moon beam is load-bearing. The secondary bay's raised beams are combined with through beams. There is an exquisitely polished brick screen wall at the end of the room. The central hall has three bays with two corridors. It is an open hall with a hip roof. The eaves columns are 5.6 meters high, the golden columns are 6.6 meters high, and the ridge purlin is 8.9 meters from the ground. The eaves columns and mountain columns are square stone columns, with square column bases underneath. The golden pillar is a wooden pillar with a drum-shaped base and a covering basin underneath. The main room has five beams with double steps in front and back, and are flat beams decorated with shallow relief patterns. The ox legs are carved with opera characters. Because it is backed by Taoyuan Mountain, the dormitory and the left and right bell and drum towers are built on a high platform. There are steps at the end of the two wings. Going up 12 steps is the platform, and going up another 10 steps is the dormitory, with a total height of 5.1 meters. There is a bluestone railing in front of the platform, and the railing is engraved with patterns such as unicorns, celestial horses, and Ruyi boxes, which are original objects from the Ming Dynasty. This building is one of the main ancestral halls in Zhuge Village and has high cultural relic value. National key cultural relic protection unit.
