Gansu Provincial Museum

Gansu is located at the intersection of the Loess Plateau, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Inner Mongolia Plateau. The representative culture in history is Helong Culture. In prehistoric times, there are Fuxi Culture, Dadiwan Culture, Majiayao Culture, Qijia Culture, etc. In the pre-Qin period, there are Siwa, Xindian, Shajing, Xirong, and Early Period Culture. According to their nature, there are painted pottery, bronze, frontier, Silk Road, Dunhuang, Grottoes, Yellow River, Great Wall, etc. Unique ethnic culture, Islamic culture, Tibetan Buddhism culture During the Shang Dynasty, the ancestors of the Zhou Dynasty, the Zhou tribe, lived in the Jinghe and Weihe River basins, which were in the clan tribal stage. The ancestors of the Qin people in the Western Zhou Dynasty settled in the eastern part of Tianshui. In the ninth year of King Zhuang of Zhou, the Qin State established Tianshui Maiji District and Gangu County, which were also the earliest two counties established in Chinese history. Gansu Provincial Museum is located in Qilihe District, Lanzhou City. It gathers precious historical relics from ancient times to modern times, especially Gansu painted pottery from the Neolithic Age, Han and Tang Silk Road treasures, Buddhist art treasures, paleontological fossils, etc. This trip to Qinghai-Tibet-Gansu took the Qinghai-Tibet Railway from Lhasa to Lanzhou. I first checked into the Lanzhou Hyatt Hotel. On the second afternoon, I visited the Gansu Provincial Museum. The collections are vast, and I didn’t finish them before closing. The Lanzhou Center opposite is also a new large-scale complex, so you can go around. On the third day, after checking out at noon, I took a taxi to the Yellow River Iron Bridge and Baita Mountain Park. It was still early in the afternoon, so I went to the museum. If you don’t understand our past, you can’t understand our present. In recent years, visiting museums has been a hot spot for travel. This trip to Qinghai-Tibet-Gansu, I visited the Qinghai Provincial Museum, the Tibet Museum and the Lanzhou Museum, and gained a deep understanding of the history and culture of Qinghai-Tibet-Gansu. During the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon, it is more convenient to make an appointment on the spot. In the evening, I took the high-speed train back to Xi’an from Lanzhou West Railway Station. It was a wonderful journey.
