[Youth Blooms in Laos]

🛫It was a sudden decision to travel.🛬 I had planned to travel abroad with my friends after finishing my first year of college, but my friend's sudden enlistment notice made me hurry up and travel. Let's go on a trip! We met at the airport two days after we talked. It was an unplanned trip with only a round-trip flight ticket, but we talked a lot and laughed a lot. That's probably why it remains as my happiest trip to date. If you've decided to go to Laos next, I'll introduce two things you must do with your friends. First, let's go kayaking and 🏎 buggy riding while enjoying the beautiful scenery in Vang Vieng, the city of activities. If you take a minivan from Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and drive for about 4 hours, you'll arrive at Vang Vieng. There are many sports to enjoy, and you can feel the youthful energy more than any other city. Most Koreans book sports through travel agencies, but I recommend booking directly with a small local business. If you enjoy sports through a travel agency, you can't enjoy the activity properly because you move with dozens of people. On the other hand, we were able to kayak freely with just 4 people with a similar Laotian local guide, and we were even treated to a meal at the guide's underwater house on the kayak route. A buggy is the perfect way to enjoy off-roading in Vang Vieng, where it seems like a paradise. Usually, buggy and Blue Lagoon tickets are sold together, and I bought a 4-hour ticket for 450,000 kip (KRW 57,000). The course of riding a buggy is really beautiful, but I still regret not being able to take any pictures because my DSLR camera broke down. The second thing to do is to attend the alms-giving ceremony in Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang, which is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for the alms-giving ceremony held at dawn because there are many southern Buddhist temples. It is a tradition that monks who practice every morning gather food to last them the day, and the act of giving them food and praying while everyone sits quietly seems sacred. Since it starts at 5:30 in the morning and lasts for about 30 minutes, it is important to leave the room at 5 in the morning. There are many mothers who sell food that needs to be offered near the place where the alms-gathering ceremony is held, so if you want to experience the culture firsthand, it is a good experience to buy it and give it to the monks.
