✨ Quiet Beauty at Leicester Cathedral

From the outside, the building looked modest, but once inside, it felt peaceful and full of quiet beauty. The space isn’t huge, but the details are lovely—stained glass windows, carved stone, and wooden pews that have seen centuries go by. The highlight for me was the tomb of King Richard III. It’s simple but powerful, and there’s a strong sense of history surrounding it. I stood there for a while, thinking about how his remains were discovered under a car park nearby, and now rest here in this small, quiet cathedral. There’s no entrance fee, and the staff were welcoming without being intrusive. It didn’t take long to explore, maybe 20–30 minutes, but it was one of the more meaningful stops I made in Leicester.
