Chengdu one-day hiking route surrounded by snow-capped mountains Menggu Snow Mountain

This is a hiking route I like very much. There are large tracts of primeval forest along the way 🌲. Even in winter, there are large tracts of green. It is super comfortable to walk in the sunshine. When you reach the meadow, you will be surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The nearest snow-capped mountain 🏔️ feels within reach. It takes about 3.5 hours to get there from Chengdu, and you can go there and back in one day, but it's a little tiring. 【About road conditions🗺】 1. Distance and duration The whole journey is about 11 kilometers, with a climb of about 1,100 meters. I started climbing at 11:30, arrived at the meadow at around 3 pm, stayed on the platform for about 20 minutes before going down the mountain, and returned to the starting point at around 5:30 pm. The total time was 6 hours. 2. Altitude The starting point is about 2,700 meters and the meadow is about 3,800 meters. Be careful not to get altitude sickness. 3. Road conditions ▪️ A short cement road into the mountain - a dirt road in the forest climbing up - snow starts to appear along the way - the higher you go, the more snow there is, and some sections are directly on the snow - you reach the meadow; ▪️ The overall road conditions are not difficult, and you can finish the climb if you start climbing early. It is recommended to get down the mountain before 3 o'clock; ▪️ There will be hidden ice in some places, and it is easy to slip when going down the mountain, so you need to bring crampons and trekking poles. 🔹Climbing difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐ 🔹Scenery index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 【Practical suggestions 🏷️】 1. Don't exercise too vigorously and don't let the wind blow your head and catch a cold, otherwise it is easy to get altitude sickness; 2. The wind in the mountains in winter is really cold and strong, so you must be good at windproofing and keeping warm, with a jacket + a warm layer + a quick-drying jacket. If you are afraid of the cold, bring a down liner as a backup; 3. It is very practical to bring a thermos cup with hot water when hiking in winter. There are two barbecues within 1 km of entering the mountain. There is no supply point further up.
