Lianyungang’s hidden gem you may never have heard of!

Lianyungang is really a very distinctive seaside city. If you have fun there, you won’t want to leave. Let’s talk about Haizhou Ancient City first. This place is actually quite historical and it feels like you’ve walked into the past. The streets in the ancient city are narrow, and every brick of the old buildings seems to be telling a story. You can just find a small shop to sit down, drink some tea and chat, and you can really feel the leisurely atmosphere. Then there is Shuanglong Well, where the water is very clear and the scenery is quite nice. If you like quiet places, it would be very comfortable to take a walk here. The well water is particularly sweet, and even the air seems to have a fresh feeling. However, what attracted me most was the primitive feeling. There were not so many people and I could enjoy the real nature. Let’s talk about Quyang Gate. To be honest, I am a little fascinated by ancient city gates. Quyang Gate is well preserved and gives people a strong sense of history, as if taking you back to that war-torn era. Walking through that door is like crossing time and space, and I feel a special touch in my heart. If you like hiking, you can visit Jinping Mountain, Yuntai Mountain and Beigu Mountain. The three mountains have their own characteristics, but none of them are too difficult to climb, so they are suitable for everyone to hike together. However, the scenery of Yuntaishan is the most stunning, especially when standing on the top of the mountain overlooking the city of Lianyungang, the scenery is so beautiful. You stand there, looking at the sea and the whole city, and suddenly everything seems less important. Speaking of islands, they are really a highlight of Lianyungang. In places like Dashawan, Sumawan and Yangwotou, the beach sand is very fine and soft, and the water is very clear. The best part is that it's not as crowded as some tourist destinations. You can feel more peaceful and relax here. As the sea breeze blew, my mood immediately improved a lot. Islands such as Yangshan Island and Gaogong Island do not seem to have been developed into commercial tourist destinations at all. Instead, they retain a lot of natural charm. It is really a unique experience to find a place to sit down, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and enjoy the sea breeze alone. To be honest, the feeling Lianyungang gives me is: not many people, beautiful scenery, and a slow pace of life. The hustle and bustle of big cities is completely absent here. You can enjoy nature quietly. Walking on the streets, you can see beautiful scenery wherever you glance. I would say this is a really great place to relax, get away from the stress and experience some peaceful time.
