1 Hotel Mayfair, London

This was my first time in London, and I stayed at 1 Hotel Mayfair. It's located right across from the Ritz and very close to the Green Park subway station. From the hotel, it's a pleasant walk to my favorite St. James's Park, and through the park, you arrive at Buckingham Palace. The location is superb. As soon as you enter the hotel, you're greeted by a huge hanging basket filled with live plants that need daily watering. The doormen are also very welcoming. Just inside the entrance is the hotel's most striking feature: a lush green wall of living plants with a drinking water station underneath where you can fill up your glass. The hotel's decor reflects an eco-conscious design throughout. The minibar is made of wicker, the sink is marble, and small potted plants adorn the vanity area. The room is a bit small, but given the prime location in this expensive city, the layout is excellent. The toiletries are by Bamford, with a geranium scent, and I especially loved the essential oil fragrance in the corridors. The hotel breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options. Everything was perfect, except for the slightly high room rate. Overall, I recommend experiencing this hotel when you're in London. I heard even "Boss Bao" has stayed here. By the way, the hotel thoughtfully provided a chocolate bear dessert for Valentine's Day, which was a sweet touch ☺
