London | Newly-opened Chinese restaurant near Victoria Station

As soon as you step into Shan Shui Social, you’re immediately immersed in the old Shanghai atmosphere — the music and décor are full of charm, I absolutely loved it. The scallion pancakes were deliciously crispy. They come in a set of three, perfect for sharing with friends during a casual get-together — not too heavy either! The spicy fried chicken was incredibly crispy, and the aroma of the chilies was just amazing. The wonton soup had an especially rich broth, and the wontons themselves were generously filled — one bowl was super satisfying! The roast duck was a massive portion — really hearty. The skin was crispy, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Half a duck is ideal for about four people to share! The salted egg yolk prawns were packed with huge, juicy prawns, all coated in a rich salted egg yolk sauce — absolutely delicious! The drink menu was also a lovely surprise. I had the cucumber mocktail (the last one listed under the mocktails) and it was super refreshing.
