Escape the Dorm Plan｜Perfect Hot Spring Day in the Rainy Weather

#WinterHotSpringTime With no classes during finals week and a typhoon making outdoor activities unfavorable, I revisited my favorite spot—the Nankun Mountain area—for a staycation. 📍 Longmen Four Seasons Pin Yuan 🏡 Starry Hot Spring Private Suite This is the largest room type in the entire homestay, spanning 168 square meters. Located on the top floor, the highlight is the massive floor-to-ceiling panoramic window. True to its name, on clear nights, you can actually see the stars. Even on this cloudy day, the view of mist-shrouded mountain ranges was poetic. The room also features an extra-long tea table—sipping tea indoors while listening to the rain outside felt incredibly serene. The homestay even provides a Lefant hair dryer! A small but thoughtful detail, especially since I use the same one. After soaking in the hot spring, a high-speed dryer is a must for wet hair. ♨️ Hot Spring & Other Facilities The room includes a private hot spring pool on the scenic balcony. The homestay provides a water card, and the temperature was perfect for a relaxing soak. The balcony has all-glass railings, ensuring unobstructed views, so you can enjoy the mountain breeze while bathing—pure bliss. The homestay also offers free BBQ grills and camping gear, perfect for group gatherings (though I didn’t try it since I was solo). Outside, there’s an infinity heated pool with crystal-clear water. According to the owner, the heating is turned on during cooler weather, but it was off during my stay due to the heat. 🍽️ Dining The homestay serves afternoon tea and breakfast. The afternoon tea varies seasonally—during my stay, it was fruit jelly and lychees. Breakfast featured rice noodle rolls and pork congee. The rice noodle rolls were exceptionally thin and silky (see image 13—so thin they’re almost transparent!), with a delicious sauce. They were so good I asked for seconds. 🏨 Service Staff were incredibly welcoming, offering umbrellas and helping with luggage despite the rain. They gave a thorough introduction to the facilities and added me on WeChat for any requests. Later, I even saw staff helping other guests take photos—their enthusiasm was heartwarming. Though the weather wasn’t ideal, the rainy ambiance made the getaway feel uniquely cozy. The homestay’s design is stunning, and lying in bed while gazing at the mountain views through the floor-to-ceiling windows, I couldn’t help but admire how this place boasts some of the best scenery in the area.
