Shangmashiwei in Gangshang Village, Longnan, Jiangxi

The site of the Wudang Daba Guerrilla Unit (Shangmashiwei) is located in Gangshang Village, Wudang Town. It was built by Ye Zhengna in the late Qing Dynasty. Shangmashiwei faces west to east and has a "mouth" shaped structure with a width of 38.1 meters and a depth of 26.7 meters, covering an area of 1020 square meters. The stone-built outer wall is 7 meters high. Inside the enclosure, there is a two-story wooden ancestral hall. On both sides of the ancestral hall are two-story earthen houses, totaling 16 rooms. There is a two-story watchtower in the courtyard. The Daba Guerrilla Unit was established on June 15, 1948, and belonged to the Ganbian Detachment of the Sannan Guerrilla Unit under the Jiulian Mountain Guerrilla Unit. Its main activity areas were Longnan, Dingnan, and Pingyuan on the border of Jiangxi and Guangdong. Many rooms in Shangmashiwei were used as residences for guerrillas. The second floor area on the left side was once used as a place for the Daba Guerrilla Unit to gather, hide, hold meetings, mobilize the masses, carry out revolutionary activities, and organize revolutionary struggles. It has important research value for the history of the Wudang Daba Guerrilla Unit. In 2022, the Longnan Municipal People's Government announced it as the fourth batch of Longnan Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Units (county level).
