A long-planned impromptu trip - Mount Laojun

I've always felt tired, whether it's work or life. So I overcame all difficulties for a long-planned impromptu trip. The first stop on May 31, 2024, was Mount Laojun. I booked a ride in advance on Didi Chuxing, and someone picked me up from the Luoyang Longmen station, though it wasn't the car shown on the app. They are a team, or even several teams, providing transfers between Luoyang and Mount Laojun. There was hardly any delay, and it took 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to the ticket checkpoint of Mount Laojun. Next to the checkpoint, there are smart lockers for luggage storage, charged by the day, with various sizes available. From the ticket checkpoint to the first cable car station, there is a shuttle bus that costs 15 yuan per person. The annoying part was that I had to wait 20 minutes for it to leave. I was the first one to take the shuttle. This cable car stops at 3:30 pm. The round trip costs 130 yuan. We reached the cable car station at exactly 3:00 pm. It felt like it took about 10 minutes. After getting off the cable car, you'll quickly arrive at the second cable car. The round trip costs 80 yuan. This one is shorter, taking about 10 minutes. After the second cable car, we took the tunnel on the right, which is a much shorter route. The path is relatively gentle, suitable for the elderly and children. There are also elevators, one-way only, costing 40 yuan, divided into four sections. It's quite energy-saving. We reached the Golden Summit around 7 pm. Since it was a cloudy day, the Golden Summit wasn't particularly spectacular. We couldn't see the sunset. I chose to wait at Liangbaotai for the lights to turn on, having inquired in advance with the staff that they would be lit at 7:30 pm. It wasn't completely dark yet, so the lighting wasn't particularly amazing. But it still made me feel very good. Being high up gives you a sense of looking down on all beings. Breaking free from all shackles, just for that moment of lighting. I also left my prayer plaque there. I bought three for 10 yuan at the foot of the mountain and brought a pen. I didn't take the return slide. They said there was an age limit, and I was with my elderly mother. Down we went, down we went. From time to time, I glanced at the slide next to us and felt it wasn't that fast. The second stage cable car, the first stage cable car. The 15 yuan shuttle bus from the cable car station to the ticket checkpoint. There are many homestays along the way. Another pitfall came. Around 9 pm, we arrived at the ticket checkpoint, and there was no one to take orders on Didi Chuxing or Gaode Maps. I asked the shuttle staff, and they said to take the shuttle bus (5 yuan per person) to the tourist center, where it would be easy to get a taxi. Each segment has its own money to make. There were many cars going back to Luoyang at the checkpoint. They all said 60 yuan per person. Although it was very late, there were still people going up the mountain, brave souls who climb at night. Youth is great. Life is a journey with no turning back; you are always on the road. There is no way back, only countless crossroads and choices. Took the shuttle bus to the tourist center, then a taxi to the hotel. 🏨Luanchuan Yishuiwan Grand Hotel. The hotel is really good. When taking my mother out, the most important things are cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. The hotel service is excellent, offering a free pick-up and drop-off service to one of Luanchuan County's scenic spots, so the next day's trip to Jiguan Cave was left to them. Even though I took the cable cars and elevator, I still walked more than 19,000 steps today. The body is tired, but the heart doesn't feel tired.
