Night Handicraft Market This is the largest handicraft market in Laos and many tourists come to Luang Prabang to do their shopping. This market is located on the main street of the city. You will find Lao textiles, Hmong embroidery, souvenir t-shirts, bags, paper umbrellas, lanterns, fridge magnets and elephant-patterned clothing. Look out for the 'Made In Luang Prabang' sign if you want to support the local textile industry. You will be able to see the difference in quality between these products and the cheap imported goods from neighboring countries. There is also delicious food and drinks around the market including Lao coconut pancakes, fresh fruit smoothies, baguettes and beers.
