The oldest modern lighthouse in China's coastal areas

The Guia Lighthouse, also known as the Mount Song Lighthouse, located on Macau's highest mountain, is the first modern lighthouse on the Chinese coast. There is a small chapel next to the lighthouse dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Before going up to the lighthouse, you will first pass the Guia Fortress. Guia Fortress, Guia Lighthouse and Basilica of Our Lady of the Snows are all historical and cultural heritages. In addition to being used for navigation, the Guia Lighthouse is also used to hoist typhoon signals and disseminate storm information to the public. The colorful murals on the vaults and walls of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Snows are the only church in Macau that integrates Chinese and Western art.
