Casa Maquista’s signature Macanese cuisine

Macanese cuisine has been recognized by UNESCO as the world's first "fusion" cuisine, but many people are still unfamiliar with this cuisine and often mistakenly believe it is just a branch of Cantonese cuisine. With Portuguese culture rooted in Macau for more than 40 years, Macanese cuisine bears witness not only to Portugal’s maritime history but also to the time-honoured culinary expertise of the vibrant Macau community. I recommend trying the meat pie, cheese pie, and mixed vegetables. Next time I will choose to come in the afternoon and have a leisurely afternoon tea!
