At the end of the street, I encountered a few local elders sitting on benches, chatting and laughing, their leisurely demeanor seemingly taking me back to a slower-paced era without hustle and bustle. Rua de São Paulo may not be dazzlingly glamorous, but its simplicity and sincerity touch the heart.
