Marsaxlokk - a step back in time in this quaint Maltese fishing village

On our bus journey to one of Malta’s southern most towns - the heavens opened - not great when you’re sitting on a leaky bus! But by the time we got to Marsaxlokk, pronounced as Marsa Shlock, things were a lot calmer. This village, on the southern tip - is Malta’s largest fishing village. But it’s also famous for its colourful luzzu boats that adorn the harbour. It’s a picture perfect town, and a great place to whittle away a few hours admiring the scenery and watching the world go by. Make sure you stop for some seafood in the many restaurants that adorn this town. And of course, bring your camera. There will be plenty of photo opportunities! #malta #europe #holiday #travel
