Melaka Strait Cultural Museum over 370 years!

The Melaka Strait Cultural Museum is housed in a building known as the "Stadthuys," which was constructed by the Dutch in the 17th century, around 1650. So, the building itself is over 370 years old. It's one of the oldest Dutch buildings in the region and is recognized for its distinctive red exterior. It showcases the rich cultural heritage and maritime history of the region, particularly focusing on the significance of the Melaka Strait. Currently the museum is on partial construction, but there’s Batik painting activities available while you can chill around the area ordering drinks or Nyonya kuihs to try.
