I've been in Melbourne for a month now! Today, I'm going to tell you how to get around Melbourne, both in and out of the city. There are many ways to get around, including walking, taking the tram, train, and bus. All of this can be done with just one card called the MYKI CARD! Buying a myki card: You can buy it at a machine at various stations, but there will be a deposit. Top up the card: You can top up at the machine where you bought the card, or you can top up via the app. How to take public transportation: Tram: You don't have to tap on and off the tram in the CBD (it's free). However, you have to tap on and off every time you go outside the city. Train, Bus: You have to tap on and off every time. It feels like you're taking the BTS. The fare is $4.6 (106 baht) per ride. No matter how far you go, the price is the same. We really like traveling here. It's convenient, fast, and public transportation can get you almost everywhere. Most importantly, you don't have to have multiple cards to get confused. You can use just one card to travel all over the city.
