～Inokashira Park～

During the Edo period, this park was used by the Tokugawa Shogunate for falconry. In the Meiji era, water from the pond in the center of the garden was used for the first time as the "Kanda Josui" water channel for the streets of Edo. From then on, the water in the pond was actually used as drinking water until the improved waterway was completed in 1898. This pond is now known as the Inokashira Pond. #井のカド恩仕公園 There is a statue called "Benzaiten" on the west side of the pond. It stands on a floating island in the pond and has a small bridge.
