I've only skied on double boards before, so this time I want to try single boards You can refer to some tips for beginners going to the ski resort 1️⃣Round trip from Melbourne city 🚗 The car-free party directly signed up for a small group transfer in the snow mountain It is recommended that you choose a more comfortable car. The journey takes about 3 hours. 2️⃣ Cable car ticket ➕ Snowboard group lesson 🚠 As a beginner, I still signed up for a lesson. It’s very cost-effective to buy it together with the cable car ticket! At that time, we had one coach leading 6 people. Our coach was very patient! It is a hands-on teaching and encouraging education. The class time is about 2 hours 3️⃣ Snow suit ➕ knee pads ➕ helmet 👕 Because the official rental snow suits and helmets on the mountain are a bit ugly I rented it in the city and brought it with me. I also rented cartoon knee pads (which really saved my life. I fell a lot and had a lot of bad luck as a newbie) 4️⃣Snowboard and snowshoes🏂 It's a bit troublesome to carry these two, so I chose to rent them directly at the ski resort, which is more convenient. There are also helmets provided, but I didn't take them when I rented a snow suit. ❄️About the ski resort Generally speaking, it is quite suitable for beginners. The halfway point is a beginner-friendly area. If you are more daring/technical, you can take the cable car to the top of the mountain and ski down. The snow on the mountain is much thicker than that halfway up the mountain, and the slope is more challenging. 🍽️About eating There is a cafe halfway up the mountain where you can order some white fast food such as pizza The restaurant still mainly serves steak, pizza, fish and chips. There is also a restaurant and lounge near the snowsuit and snowshoe rental shop (with hot water for instant noodles) 📝In general, it is still highly recommended (when I went there it was not a weekend and there were not many people) I think the distance from the city and the conditions of the ski resort are a good compromise.
