Best way to spend a perfect day at Mount Fuji

Getting There - You can take a bus from Tokyo to Mount Fuji area (Kawaguchiko). Recommend to take the very early morning bus. But do note when returning during rush hours the traffic is quite heavy. Attractions - Firstly, explore the Kawaguchi lake area, which is one of the lakes around Mt Fuji. If you are lucky, you can get a clear view of Mt Fuji. You can also take cable car up from here. Next, also recommend visiting Oshino Hakkai area, which is made up of a set of eight ponds. Beautiful area. Hotels - There are many hotel options around Mt Fuji depending on what type views you are looking for. Food & Restaurants - Many local restaurants with delicious food and beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Recommend trying the tofu/ soy set meals here which are delicious. Shopping - Tons of souvenir shops around and if tou like outlet shopping, there is Gotemba Outlet.
