Mount Fuji

This post features only Mount Fuji, captured during a journey through various spots by my father's camera lens. The natural beauty is always mesmerizing. Mount Fuji, with its famous cone shape, is renowned worldwide and is considered a sacred symbol of Japan. The base of the volcano has a circumference of about 125 km and a diameter of approximately 40 to 50 km. At the summit, the crater has a surface diameter of about 500 meters and sinks to a depth of about 250 meters. Around the jagged rim of the crater are eight peaks: Oshaidake, Izudake, Jojudake, Komagatake, Mushimatake, Kengamine, Hukusandake, and Kusushidake. On the northern slopes of Mount Fuji are the Fuji Five Lakes (Fujigoko), which include Lake Yamanaka, Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Sai, Lake Shoji, and Lake Motosu. These lakes were formed by the impact of lava flows. Lake Kawaguchi is the lowest at 831 meters, noticeable by the inverted reflection of Mount Fuji on its calm waters.
