Memories of Nagasaki Peace Park in Japan

In 2009, I visited a park in Nagasaki, Japan called Nagasaki Peace Park. It was built on a hill north of the center of the atomic bomb explosion that year, as a memorial park to pray for world peace. The park has various facilities such as a peace prayer statue and a peace memorial hall. The blue peace prayer statue points its right hand to the sky and stretches its left hand to the side, indicating that only when the world is free from the threat of atomic bombs can it enjoy peace. There is a fountain in the park, which is said to have saved the people of Nagasaki with its water, so it is also called the water of life.
