Nagasaki Hypocenter Park, where the atomic bomb was dropped

July 2018 #NagasakiTravel #I first recognized the name Nagasaki when I heard that it was one of two cities that were hit by the atomic bomb. Naturally, I visited the #NagasakiPeacePark related to it and came down, but there was another spot related to the atomic bomb. It was right across the street, the #HypocenterPark (#爆心地公園). A monument was erected on the exact spot where the atomic bomb fell, and there was also a statue commemorating the 50th anniversary. But the most amazing thing was that even though the atomic bomb had completely destroyed the surrounding area, one pillar was still standing upright. If you move a little further, you can see the stratum that was there at the time of the atomic bomb, and you can imagine how powerful it was because everyday tools like rice bowls were mixed in the soil.
