On the way back from Meganebashi Bridge, we stopped off at Nagasaki Daijingu Shrine, Shooken Japanese Sweets Supply Center, and Chirinchirin Ice Cream.

#NagasakiTrip #NagasakiSightseeing #MeganeBridge #CheerCheerIceCream #Shrine #HighQualityJapaneseSweets I found Nagasaki Daijingu Shrine right next to Meganebashi Bridge and decided to visit... The first floor is a parking lot, the second floor is the shrine, and after climbing a steep staircase, I found a small but very beautiful shrine. There were many lanterns and brand new sake barrels donated by each neighborhood, and I felt that it was a shrine that was well-cherished. It is said that if you stroke the head of the shrine's guardian lion dog, it will protect travelers and children, and is called the Komainu, or Child-Treasure Dog. Unfortunately, the glass door was closed, so I could only take a picture of the lion dog through the glass, but the real thing was quite a magnificent lion dog. On the way to the tram stop, there was a "Shooken Japanese Sweets Supply Center" with a sign that said "Korokaki"... Looking inside, I saw Japanese sweets shaped like persimmons, as well as... a sign for steamed chestnut yokan at the entrance. Shooken is famous for its castella and chocolate-flavored castella "Chocolate", but they also sell a variety of other Japanese sweets... the steamed chestnut yokan in particular looked delicious. I was heading to Suwa Shrine now and it would be a pain to carry it around... I asked and was relieved to find out that they also sell it at the station and Kamome Market. A really cute ice cream shaped like a rose petal. On the way back from seeing the ♡ stone at Meganebashi Bridge, I bought Nagasaki's specialty ice cream "Chirin Chirin Ice Cream" and took a picture with the bridge in the background... it wasn't too sweet, had a refreshing taste and was really delicious.
