During the Edo period before the separation of Shinto and Buddhism, Gyokusenji served as the head priest and the shrine was called "Hodosan Daigongen". Special goshuin paper with a portrait of Hodosan Daigongen was distributed. Limited to the autumn period! Hodosan Shrine also has goshuin notebooks that correspond to the season.
