Naminoe-gu Shrine is located in Naha City, Okinawa. It has a unique seaside shrine⛩️. It is the only shrine among the eight Ryukyu shrines that is close to the sea. It is adjacent to Naminoe Beach and is built on a cliff. You can see the ships and sea views of Naha Port. . During the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom, Naminogu Shrine ranked first among the eight shrines and was revered as the general guardian of Ryukyu. During World War II, Okinawa was also affected by the war. Almost all eight shrines were destroyed. Only the torii of Namigamigu Shrine was left, and the entire shrine was burned to the ground.
