#springwander The centre of the cherry blossoms planted in the vast 12ha park is about 10 types of 2,000 double cherry trees, including Sekiyama, Ichiba, and Matsugetsu. There are about 200 other Somei Yoshino trees, and the double cherry blossoms begin to bloom at the time when the Somei Yoshino begins to fall, so it is reputed that you can enjoy the cherry blossoms that are at their best twice in spring alone. In particular, from mid to late April, which is the flowering season of Yae cherry blossoms, "Yae Cherry Blossom Festival" is held in the park. On the day of the event, in addition to stage events such as dance and drum performances, food and beverage stalls are also lined up, and it is crowded with many cherry blossom viewing visitors every year. During some periods, night cherry blossoms are also lit up, and you can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere that is different from the daytime.
