Chasing Sakura at Habu Park in Nakama City

Here, from late March to early April, around 1,000 cherry trees of various varieties bloom around a pond. The dazzling vermilion bridge over the pond beautifully complements the blossoms, creating a stunning view. Enjoy a stroll in the warm spring air, visit Hanyu Shrine across the bridge, or explore ancient cave tombs within the park. During peak bloom, the Chikuzen Nakama Cherry Blossom Festival attracts many locals for “hanami” (cherry blossom viewing picnics). At night, the illuminated cherry blossoms create a magical sight.
