Nakanoshima: Osaka’s Museum Island 🇯🇵

On my recent trip to Osaka I was looking for more unique things to do, that are often not at the top of everyone’s list of must-see things. I decided to go further North of the downtown area and discovered Nakanoshima. In middle of the Okawa River is a sandbank piece of land that has many museums. Nakanoshima is a beautiful island in the city where cultural, political and business facilities are concentrated. The three kilometre island is home to some of Osaka’s best museums, restaurants and hotels.
