Nanchang Honggutan Intercity Hotel: A great choice for stress relief during finals week I was under a lot of pressure during finals week, and it happened to be my partner's birthday, so I chose to stay at the newly opened Intercity Hotel in Nanchang and had a great experience. Check-in process I booked a deluxe king room for over CNY 300 and used a room upgrade coupon. After selecting a room on Huazhu Club, I arrived at the hotel front desk, where the staff quickly checked me in and thoughtfully gave me two room cards and a paper breakfast coupon. Breakfast experience As a Gold member, I was entitled to a buffet breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, and the beef with green beans was amazing. Although the restaurant was smaller than expected, it did not affect the dining experience at all. Location The hotel is in a great location, right next to the entrance of MixC World, and is only a few hundred meters from the subway station, making it easy to get around and travel. Facilities The hotel has a laundry room and a gym. The gym is not large, but it is well-equipped. I took a look around, and it is sufficient for simple daily exercise. Room experience The room came with a complimentary bottle of Sprite, a bottle of sparkling water, and a bottle of dark beer. I don't know much about beer, but I could tell that the dark beer tasted better than regular beer. The overall environment and cleanliness of the room were very satisfactory, and the minimalist style made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The soundproofing was good, and although I occasionally heard people talking loudly at the door, it was not a common occurrence. The room was well-equipped with a sofa, bathroom, toilet, and work desk, and also thoughtfully provided an iron and a scale. You need to swipe your card to reach the corresponding floor, which is safe and secure. There is a dedicated elevator for food delivery to the door, and room service uses robots to deliver items, which is very high-tech. Suggestions I had some questions about the room's ventilation. I am not used to heating and prefer to open the windows for ventilation, but I could not find any other ventilation methods besides two small windows, nor did I find a fan button. After eating in the room, the smell dissipated slowly. Summary Overall, this was a great stay with no major issues, and I was satisfied with all aspects. I would give this hotel a high score of 4.9 out of 5.
