Compared to Purple Mountain, Fangshan in Jiangning is more suitable for families and beginners. The mountain is not high, and strollers can be easily pushed up~ 🍃Fangshan is one of the few extinct volcanoes in the Nanjing area, with volcanic rocks lining the path up the mountain. Halfway up the mountain, Dinglin Temple hides the world's most tilted tower, built during the Southern Song Dynasty, with a greater tilt than the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy~ ✨You can hike up the winding mountain path, with a main road leading to the top ✨You can also climb the Eighteen Bends stairs, which are nearly vertical at the steepest point ✨The Eighteen Bends are comparable to the Jiangwang Temple section of Purple Mountain but much shorter ✨There is a large lawn at the foot of the mountain where you can set up tents, so you can still enjoy a day out without hiking ✨The glass walkway at the top offers great views, including a sight of Zifeng Tower ❗️Mosquitoes are vicious in autumn, so remember to take precautions against insects when outdoors 📍Fangshan Scenic Area, National Geopark 🚗Parking is convenient, with a parking lot at the entrance costing 2 yuan/hour
