Taking the kids to Xuanwu Lake for cherry blossom viewing this weekend was so romantic!

Spring is the perfect time for cherry blossom viewing! This weekend, I took my kids to Nanjing's Xuanwu Lake, and it was truly breathtaking! 🚇Getting there is easy. Take Subway Line 1 to Xuanwumen Station (Exit 3), and it's just a 5-minute walk to Yingzhou/Xuanwumen area. As soon as we entered Xuanwu Lake, a large expanse of colorful tulips caught our eyes, immediately captivating the children. But our destination was Yingzhou, and we were filled with anticipation. The shimmering lake water against the backdrop of the romantic cherry blossoms was a sight to behold. From Yingzhou all the way to Jiefangmen, the cherry trees lining the path formed a romantic pink corridor. Every photo we took was stunning, perfect for a wallpaper! Here are some great photo spots: 1️⃣ Yingzhou Corridor: The winding corridor and cherry blossom tunnel create a classical Chinese ambiance. Taking photos from a low angle or through the branches creates a magical effect. 2️⃣ Fangqiao Lakeside: Capture the reflection of the cherry blossoms in Xuanwu Lake. The afternoon sunlight is ideal, making the shimmering lake surface sparkle like scattered diamonds. The kids were running around by the lake, full of excitement, and the photos we took there have a lovely, natural feel. 3️⃣ Couple's Garden Church Lawn: With the European-style church, cherry trees, and Ferris wheel as a backdrop, you can capture that perfect Japanese-inspired fresh and clean aesthetic. We also spread out a picnic blanket under the cherry trees, laid out our favorite snacks, and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with the kids. The occasional falling petals landing on the children's hair made for a truly beautiful scene. When we got tired of walking, we rested in the pavilion, enjoying the gentle breeze, feeling relaxed and refreshed. There's also a lifestyle festival going on in Yingzhou right now, with free markets, activities, and performances. The kids were completely engrossed and having a blast. 📌Tips: ✅Wear light-colored clothing for better photos. ✅Be sure to wear comfortable, flat shoes, as Xuanwu Lake is quite large and requires a bit of walking. ✅It's best to bring your own water, snacks, and bread, as walking in the spring sunshine can be tiring, so it's important to stay hydrated and energized. ✅Please be respectful of the environment and do not litter.
