The 30-meter pool on the 6th floor boasts a panoramic skylight design at its far end. The changing rooms include both dry and wet saunas, offering a relaxing post-swim experience. Located on Longpan Middle Road, the hotel sits within the original grounds of the Ming Dynasty Imperial Palace. Here, you can sense the travel distances of ancient nobility, with proximity to former royal landmarks like Purple Mountain and Xuanwu Lake. The hotel interior is adorned with numerous imperial-themed elements. The buffet breakfast is quite impressive, served in a comfortable dining environment. Meeting five-star standards, it offers both Chinese and Western cuisine. The freshly baked bread is delicious, and it’s rare to enjoy just-out-of-the-oven cinnamon rolls at a hotel—a personal favorite. Surprisingly, the hotel serves a tasty version of Nanjing’s famous duck blood and vermicelli soup, which I didn’t get to try elsewhere in the city. The suite features a parallel layout for the bedroom and bathroom, enhancing the sense of space. A long chaise lounge is placed by the floor-to-ceiling window, and the room is equipped with high-tech amenities. The Serta comfort mattress and a pillow menu with multiple options are ideal for someone like me with sleep sensitivities.
