Self-healing, spend a day at the Nanning Zoo

Located in Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, at 73 University East Road, Nanning Zoo is nestled within a tropical botanical garden. It is home to a variety of rare animals from around the world, such as the beloved giant pandas, golden monkeys, dolphins, sea lions, turtles, and gibbons, among more than two hundred other species, totaling over 2600 adorable animals. Who says zoos are just for kids? Adults and seniors can also interact with the animals, maintain friendly connections, and it's a great way to relieve stress, boredom, and solve psychological issues as a form of self-healing. This weekend in the deep winter, the weather is not very supportive, with continuous rain. My husband, daughter, and I, along with our friend Qianqian, went to play at the Nanning Zoo. Inside the park, there are electric cars that travel between the various attractions, but I do not recommend taking a car tour. 🌟 Highlights: Our focus was on visiting the animals, with watching animal performances as a secondary activity, and we did not pay much attention to the theme park area. The first thing was to find the tour map and follow it to visit the beaver otter pavilion, kangaroo pavilion, camel pavilion, and to meet the gentle giraffes. We spent 15 yuan to buy some branches to attract the giraffes to stretch out their unique long necks. The clever animals quickly and calmly took the leaves into their mouths. The 'internet-famous big black gorilla' seemed to be in a relatively stable mood, without any crazy stereotyped behaviors. In life, people often use 'crocodile tears' to describe hypocrisy. The crocodile pavilion reveals the biological mystery behind crocodile tears. It turns out that the 'saltwater crocodile' living in seawater expels excess salt through the olfactory organs around its eyes, while 'freshwater crocodiles' cannot shed tears. Also, the endearing giant pandas gave up their nap to meet with visitors. The panda pavilion was surrounded by tourists, and everyone, young and old, felt like they couldn't get enough of watching them. As we walked, it was time to watch the animal performances. We saw dolphins and sea lions, under the trainer's command, make a dazzling appearance, performing various difficult stunts, winning people's laughter and greatly relieving stress. There were also turtles, elephants, waterfowl, and parrot pavilions, covering all bases, and the whole visit took about half a day. An important insight from visiting the Nanning Tropical Zoo is that the important survival strategy for tropical animals is their slow movement. For us, not everything should be rushed.
