I tried both—and here’s what I recommend 👇 🌤️ Go in the Morning! 🦌 The deer are more active and playful early on (less tired, less full!) 📸 Better light for photos, especially around Todai-ji Temple 🌳 Quieter paths, fewer tour groups = more peaceful vibe 🍘 You can still make it back to Kyoto or Osaka by lunch or early afternoon 🦊 Bonus: Feeding deer with shika senbei before the crowds = priceless experience! ☀️ What About the Afternoon? Still beautiful, but it gets busier, hotter (in summer), and deer are less enthusiastic Ideal only if you want golden hour shots or arrive later from Osaka/Kyoto 🗓️ Tip: 📆 Visit on a weekday morning for the most serene and magical experience 🧘♀️
