It is the largest wooden building in the world. Inside the hall is a giant statue of Vairocana Buddha that is over 15 meters tall. Among them, Nandaimon has the famous double Vajrapani statue; Nigatsu-do overlooks the Great Buddha Hall and the city of Nara.
