I once went to his art museum for him!

I once went to Taiwan just for one person. That person is Ju Ming. I went to Ju Ming Museum in New Taipei, Taiwan to see his works. Ju Ming is a representative figure in the history of modernist art in Taiwan. Even Leslie Cheung was a fan of his, and Ju Ming's "Tai Chi" series of sculptures were displayed in the foyer of his home. Ju Ming Museum was established in 1999. In order to solve the problem of placing his oversized works, Mr. Ju Ming built a venue that combines the natural environment and indoor and outdoor spaces to store his life's work. When I stood on the path in the garden of the art museum and saw the huge "stone man" practicing Tai Chi in the distance, it was as if it had been cut by an invisible axe, and each section seemed to have been precisely calculated, not too much or too little. Even without deliberately carving out the details, it still exudes charm and momentum. This is the confidence of the master before "making a move", and it is also his artistic expression of integrating his insights with nature. Later, there was a Chinese movie called "Women Who Flirt" starring Zhou Xun and Huang Xiaoming. In the movie, the heroine played by Zhou Xun had an obsession, which was to go to Ju Ming Museum to see the sculptures. In April 2023, I was shocked when I heard the news that Mr. Ju Ming had committed suicide at home. In the past two years, I have always thought that if I have the opportunity, I must go to Ju Ming Museum again to see those artworks standing between heaven and earth.
