Fly a sky lantern at Spun Laojie

Shifen Laoji is a small town located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. There are buildings on both sides of the Pingxi Railway Line. Only one train per hour passes by this railway. So if you time it right, you can see the train passing through the center of the town. A must-do here is to release a sky lantern. It is an act of writing a wish on a sky lantern and releasing it into the sky. It costs about 250 NTD. To get there by train, take the Pingxi Line from Ruifang Station and get off at Shifen Station.
