Alexandre Yersin Museum - Nha Trang, Vietnam

The Alexander Yersin Museum is located almost in the very center of Nha Trang, on the coastline, and is dedicated to the French microbiologist. This scientist was and remains the idol of the Vietnamese people. The museum recreates the environment in which he worked, his personal belongings are presented. The doctor became famous for discoveries in the field of microbiology and virology, in particular, he identified the microbe that causes bubonic plague. Its traditions are today continued by scientists from the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang. Dr. Yersen's library and his study have now become a popular museum, among the exhibits of which are laboratory equipment and some personal items. The museum is small: three rooms, the inscriptions are mostly in French.
