Eat at Seventeen Rooms New Century Guantang Hotel Zheng's Kitchen

I stayed at the Seventeen Room Kaiyuan Guantang Hotel this weekend. Not only was the accommodation very comfortable, the food was also quite good. The hotel's breakfast room is also located in an old building. Not only is the environment of the restaurant antique and unique, it also has a unique charm. There are all kinds of breakfast, including Chinese dim sum, Western dim sum, cakes, bread, various dishes, drinks, etc., which are of course the usual ones, but there are so many that you will be dazzled. The fried dough sticks here are freshly fried, and there is also fresh tofu pudding, and you can DIY your own sweet and savory flavors. What’s even more amazing is that many of Ningbo’s traditional delicacies, such as 粢饭块, 油赞子, and Ningbo glutinous rice balls, allow foreign tourists to feel the charm of Ningbo cuisine starting from breakfast. We also had dinner at Zheng's Kitchen restaurant below the hotel. Fortunately, we went early and didn't have to wait for a table. However, many Ningbo specialties that we wanted to eat were sold out during dinner time. Because business is so good on the weekend, we suggest that everyone go there early to dine. The sesame oil duck and smoked fish are especially delicious. The smoked fish is made from pomfret and is quite cost-effective. Of course, if you want to eat some more distinctive snacks, you can also buy them in the scenic area. There are many specialty snack shops here.
