Natural Onsen Foot Spa in Hokkaido

We came to the Oyunuma Natural Foot Bath after walking through some of the trails in Jigokudani (Hell’s Valley). The foot bath came about from the overflow of hot spring water from Oyunuma Pond. The 40 degrees warm water was a welcome respite on our tired feet after a long morning of walking. Best part, it’s free! They provide some mats for people to sit on as the platform is wet, so put them back after use. Also, do remember to pack a towel if you plan to visit here. We forgot and had to let our feet dry off in the cold before continuing on. It was amazing to have experienced this relaxing onsen foot spa while soaking up the atmosphere of the forest.
