Nuremberg Castle "Kaiserburg"

Kaiserburg is a castle located on a hill overlooking the charming brick-colored city of Nuremberg. It appears as you climb the slope from Altstadt. The huge fortress surrounded by sturdy walls is very impressive. Kaiserburg means "emperor's castle" and was the residence of the Holy Roman Emperors when they toured around the country and conducted politics from 1050 to 1571.
