Oarai Isosaki Shrine in Higashiibaraki County, Ibaraki Prefecture 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Founded in 856, the third year of Saihō, when a god descended to Oarai Isosaki in Kashima County! The gods who descended were the two gods, Oonamuchi-no-Mikoto and Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto. The place where they descended is the “Kamiiso no Torii ⛩”, a photo spot that attracts everyone 🤳🏼 To be precise, they descended on a reef, and the torii gate represents that place! The beauty of the scenery overlooking the Pacific Ocean✨ The occasional splash of the waves, almost hitting the torii gate, is an impressive sight🥹 It is also a good spot for sunrise🌅, and no matter what time you look at it, the scenery has various charms, so you will never get bored❗️ The shrine was built in 1690 by Tokugawa Mitsukuni, the second lord of Mito. The main hall, worship hall, and Zuishinmon gate were built by Tsunayoshi, the third lord of Mito. The main hall has a magnificent thatched roof.
