[Okinawa] Ogimi Village: An art festival held every year at a closed elementary school

The Yanbaru Art Festival is held in Yanbaru, Okinawa every year from January to February in Ogimi Village. This year's event will be held from Saturday, January 18, 2025 to Monday, February 24, 2025. Admission fee: 500 yen for adults / 300 yen for residents of Okinawa Prefecture. The main venue is the abandoned Ogimi Village Shioya Elementary School. The festival uses classrooms to enjoy unique art by various artists from inside and outside the prefecture. You can also see Okinawa's history and exhibits, and experience the Okinawan atmosphere. After viewing the art, there are classrooms selling Yachimun pottery and miscellaneous goods, so it's also recommended for purchasing souvenirs.
