Lake Ohrid is the heart of the town. Walking along the shoreline is one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery. You’ll find small cafes, historic sites, and picture-perfect views. 2. Take a Boat Tour
We did a short 30-minute private boat ride for just €5–10 total (for two people). There are many boats waiting along the shore, so don’t hesitate to ask a few operators for the best price. 3. Visit St. John at Kaneo Church
This iconic Orthodox church perched on a cliff above the lake is a must-see. You’ve probably seen it in every photo of Ohrid — it’s even more stunning in person. 4. Explore Ohrid Fortress (Samuel’s Fortress)

If you're visiting in the summer, bring your swimwear! The water is clean, refreshing, and perfect for a dip. 🚌 Transportation Tip If you're arriving from Tirana or heading to Skopje, you can buy bus tickets from city center offices — no need to go all the way to the bus station. In our case, the bus to Skopje even departed from the ticket office in the center.
