Must-visit in Osaka Umeda! Step into a retro café straight out of an anime scene.

After walking around Umeda until my feet hurt, I finally found a hidden gem to recharge! "Cafe Taiyo no Tou Annex" is just a 10-minute walk from Umeda Station. Along the way, you'll pass by a Ferris wheel and vintage shops—it's hard not to stop and take a look. Eventually, I couldn't resist and had to sit down. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 2 PM, and luckily, there was a spot available on the second floor! Make sure to head upstairs! The wooden staircase creaks as you walk, and in the tatami room, you can see little kids crawling and playing. The walls are adorned with old posters and nostalgic decorations, filling the space with a Showa-era vibe. When the food arrived, I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" The curry pork cutlet rice was golden and crispy, and the spaghetti was plated so beautifully it looked like something straight out of an anime. The taste was just as impressive as the presentation! For dessert, I ordered the caramel pudding, which was rich with egg flavor and had a satisfying crunch from the caramelized topping—absolutely delightful! At around 100 yen per person, it's a steal, especially with the current exchange rate. Before 4 PM, they serve Western-style meals, and after that, they switch to desserts and coffee. On a tiring afternoon, listening to the creaking wooden floor and gazing out at the street view from the window really recharges your spirit!
