Osaka… A small city with a big heart that is as warm as a soft hug 🍙💛 If there is a city that does not require trying to make anyone fall in love Just being yourself makes people want to go back That city is Osaka. Osaka does not have volcanoes, does not have magnificent autumn leaves But there is “just the right amount of cuteness” that makes us smile from the first step From the smell of takoyaki floating on the wind The sound of a train passing by with people waving The cat in front of the cafe that sleeps without a care To the warmth of the people here... Just seeing their faces makes you feel that you can trust them This is a heartfelt review full of cute moments in Osaka I hope it will make you smile while reading like we smiled while traveling 🧃🌸 ⸻ 🏯 Start peacefully at “Osaka Castle” We started our trip by walking at Osaka Castle Even though it is a classic tourist spot, it still has an unfading charm Along the way, there is a large park surrounded by tall trees, and an old man comes to draw pictures Someone brought his dog to run around And there is a river flowing slowly on the side of the road. The castle is located on a small hill, clean white and gold. Going up inside, there is a museum exhibiting the story of the samurai era. But what we like the most is the view from the rooftop. You can see the vast Osaka city, peaceful, not rushing. It's like the world slows down a bit, allowing us to take a deep breath. 🍃 Walk around the castle and buy mochi from a food stall. Sit and eat on the lawn. I feel that just this is enough to fill my lungs with happiness. 🧸 ⸻ 🐙 Dotonbori: Takoyaki Street and Non-Stop Fun From the calmness of the castle, we enter the fun mode at Dotonbori. This place is like another world with delicious food, cute things to sell. And moving signs at every shop! • Start with Takoyaki, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. With a lot of squid filling, sprinkled with jiggly dried fish. The first bite makes my eyes widen. It's really delicious. • Next is Okonomiyaki, thick dough, cabbage and pork. Spread with juicy sauce, sprinkled with thick mayonnaise. So satisfying that you can smile • Finally, end with milk flavored ice cream that is so fragrant and melts in your mouth Walked and found a bakery that looks like a cartoon A balloon shop tied into the shape of a cartoon character And a milk tea shop with a bear jelly in a glass 🍵🧸 And of course, we didn't miss taking a picture with the Glico sign Standing in a running pose and smiling shyly next to tourists from all over the world It felt like we had become a character in a Japanese movie in the last scene 📸✨ ⸻ 🐠 Kaiyukan: An underwater world that is more peaceful than our hearts After the fun level 10 at Dotonbori We stopped to rest our hearts at Kaiyukan or Osaka Aquarium Just walking in, we could smell the sea lightly Dim blue lights and the sound of water dripping very relaxing And when walking around the giant tank, we found a big whale shark Swimming slowly as if to tell us "No need to rush, walking slowly is fun" There were glowing jellyfish that seemed to float in the universe Tiny Nemo fish Swimming in the crevices of the rocks and penguins standing in line like waiting for a train 🚋🐧 We walked quietly, stopping for a long time at each point because the silence here... is not emptiness but it is filled with a very gentle happiness 🫧💙 ⸻ 🍰 Shinsaibashi & Amerikamura: Heart-melting streets Back to the human world again We headed to the shopping district where locals also like to walk Shinsaibashi is a street that combines everything cute There is a stationery shop with lots of cat stickers that make you want to scream A sweet shop with cakes in the shape of cartoons from childhood A bubble tea shop that puts pudding in the whole farm And a clothing store that sells socks with a panda riding a whale pattern 🐼🐋 Walk a little further and you will find Amerikamura This is a very trendy fashion district. Teenagers dress to show their own style to the fullest There are beautiful graffiti photo spots, bohemian-style cafes And vintage shops that dig up clothes that feel “This is me!” 🎨👜 Just walking around watching people, dressing up, fashion, and cafes is like getting a lot of positive energy. It’s like this city is charging us without realizing it. ⸻ 🍙 Osaka… A city where eating is happiness We know why Osaka is called “Japan’s kitchen”. Because the food here is so delicious…it makes us feel good from the first bite. • Beef rice bowl with perfectly runny egg • Chewy udon noodles in a well-rounded soup • Eel sushi that is so soft you don’t want to chew • Caramel egg pudding that is like eating something smooth • Rice balls from 7-Eleven that are so delicious that you want to buy 10 pieces to take back to Thailand Osaka’s deliciousness doesn’t come from its expensiveness but from the care and sincerity of this city that wants us to feel good…through every bite. 🍡🍵 ⸻ 🚋 Easy to travel, not lost Traveling in Osaka is one of our favorite things because it’s easy, convenient, and very “friendly”! With just an ICOCA card, you can take the train, subway, and bus. The signs are clear, in English, and there aren't too many stations to get confused about. If you stand there confused for more than 10 seconds, there will often be a kind uncle or staff member who will come to help you. 🥺 Plus, there's the Osaka Amazing Pass , which allows you to enter many places for free and also offers discounts on restaurants. It's so convenient and worthwhile that it feels like the city really wants you to have fun. 🎫💛 ⸻ 💌 Summary: Osaka... a city we don't know when we fell in love with. Osaka isn't a city that's amazing in every corner. But it's a city that makes us smile every time we walk. A city that may seem ordinary, but makes our ordinary days more special. A city with street food, but happiness overflows in our hearts. A city that doesn't need much to say, but we understand everything about you. No matter how tired we are, no matter how many years have passed, we know... we'll come back again. To eat takoyaki by the bridge, to walk in a small alley with a cat cafe, or just sit by the river and let our hearts go.
