Osaka…🇯🇵 A city that made my heart race from the very first step I took on the land of the rising sun. There’s an undeniable charm that pulls me in, making me fall deeply in love with this city. From the aroma of food wafting from small eateries to the sound of people chatting in Japanese—a language I don’t understand but somehow feels warm, as if everyone is saying, "Welcome." The charm of Osaka makes every step feel refreshing and more exciting than I had imagined. When I arrived at "Dotonbori," the liveliest street in Osaka, I felt like I had entered a world of vibrant colors. The giant neon "Glico" sign, which I had seen in books and on social media, came to life before my eyes. It was so thrilling that I couldn’t stop smiling. Surrounding the street were restaurants emitting the enticing aroma of takoyaki, tempting my taste buds. The first bite was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a perfectly balanced sauce—it felt like magic melting in my mouth. I found myself carrying a tray of takoyaki all day without even realizing it. Next, I wandered through Kuromon Market, a place brimming with fresh seafood and colorful delights. Vendors grilled and prepared food right in front of us, turning it into a mini show. The aroma of fresh sushi, grilled meats, and tempting sweets made me feel like every bite was a taste of happiness. It was a joy that could be experienced through both sight and taste simultaneously. While strolling, I stopped by a small pastel-colored dessert shop adorned with cute dolls. I picked up a tiny treat and sipped on hot green tea, feeling like I was in a charming cartoon world. The warmth and tranquility of the shop made me lose track of time. Getting around Osaka is easy. The trains and buses are straightforward, with English signs everywhere. The staff are incredibly helpful, even though I couldn’t speak Japanese. Their smiles and kind guidance turned every journey into a fun and stress-free adventure. One of the places that impressed me the most was Universal Studios Japan, a theme park that felt like stepping into a magical world. The Harry Potter zone made me feel like I was in the actual movie, with Diagon Alley and magical shops coming to life. The Minion zone had me laughing non-stop with the adorable antics of the little yellow characters. Another highlight was Osaka Castle, a stunning symbol of the city. Walking closer, I admired the beautiful architecture and the history embedded in every corner of the castle. The surrounding gardens offered a peaceful space to stroll, take photos, and relax. In the evening, I went up to the Umeda Sky Building to enjoy the city view from its outdoor observation deck. The lights from the surrounding skyscrapers made the city look like stars on Earth. Sitting there, gazing at the night view, I felt enveloped by warmth and hope—a feeling I wanted to keep in my heart forever. Before heading back, I wandered around Shinsaibashi, a shopping district filled with cute fashion stores, cafes, and lovely souvenirs. I bought a takoyaki-shaped keychain that was so adorable I didn’t want anyone else to touch it. Osaka isn’t just a city with delicious food or famous attractions; it’s a place filled with warmth and charm that can be felt in every corner and every step. I felt at home, even though I was far from my actual home. For anyone looking to experience the fun and warmth of Japan, I wholeheartedly recommend Osaka.
